  • SERVICES OF SHORT DURATION
    (SSD)  Program

     

              Services of Short Duration is a funding program available to individuals in the Crisis Prevention category on DDA’s Waiting List. The program is designed to help address the immediate crisis need and help avoid crisis in the future. Eligible individuals are able to receive up to $10,000 to help pay for supports/ services. Individuals in the Crisis Prevention category should have already received notification from the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) of their eligibility for the SSD program. If you believe you are in the Crisis Prevention category, but have not received any information from DDA, please contact your resource coordinator.  NOTE: This funding program available only for this fiscal year (fiscal year finishes June 30, 2012).
    Examples of what SSD may cover:

    1. Outstanding utility or medical bills
    2. Adaptive equipment/assistive technology
    3. Housing/vehicle adaptation
    4. Respite services
    5. Behavioral support services
    6. Family/individual counseling
